Proud to See Snow Camp's Jonjoe on BBC Ski Sunday! February 23 2017
We were really thrilled to see the awesome charity SNOW CAMP featured on last Sunday's BBC Ski Sunday tv programme!
We have been working with them for a few years now and help out in the little way that we can, whenever we can. We mainly provide the guys with our SnoKart bags to help them get over to the mountains.... many on their first trip and experience of being in the mountains!
Here's a pic of Jonjoe on his way to the slopes for the first time a couple of years ago!
Here is what the guys at Snow Camp themselves had to say:
"SNOW CAMP INSPIRE ON TV AND ONLINE
Over the last week we have had tremendous support from our wonderful community: from sharing and liking our posts on social media to personally emailing your friends, colleagues and family the links to our amazing news coverage. You have really helped us to reach a wider audience and encouraged new individuals and organisations to join our growing community, thank you! Just in case you missed any of the amazing coverage please have a look at the video and link here...
Last weekend, BBC2's Ski Sunday showcased our work by sharing the story of Snow-Camp young person, Jonjoe Boulter. It's an inspirational story and if you haven't seen it yet, please take 5 minutes out of your day to watch it. Or if you have, please share the footage with your friends, family and colleagues: we want do show people across the UK how snowsports can positively impact inner-city young people."

SnoKart Proud to Support The Snowsport Foundation October 27 2015
The Snow Sports Foundation was set up to generate funds to promote and deliver individual snow sports coaching to adults and children with additional needs and rehabilitation challenges.
The benefits that this funding delivers are:
- The recognised improvement of a student’s social skills, such as concentration, fitness levels, listening, motivation, motor skills, self-confidence, social interaction and their ability to communicate.
- The promotion of social inclusion for people with additional needs as, in most scenarios, they find it difficult to mix easily with others.
- The education to families, as well as local and international communities, to fight the stigma associated with additional needs and disabilities.
- The link with education and snow sports, resulting in increased social skills within a school environment.
- Making the identification and management of additional needs by families a positive and beneficial experience.
- The promotion of participation in a healthy recreation
- The development of a student’s natural abilities in a physical and mentally-challenging sport.
- A positive impact on people’s lives.
Children and adults with additional needs, such as ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, Autism, Deafness, Dyspraxia, Visual Impairment, as well as all forms of rehabilitation challenges, have been experiencing dramatic results.
This has been seen not just in their ability to ski or snow board, but in their social and life skills, such as improved self-confidence, concentration, social interaction, motor skills, fitness levels, motivation, and listening skills.

Fall Line Skiing Magazine Gear Guide October 16 2015
Checkout Fall Line Skiing Magazine's November issue and their Gear Guide.
Here's what they had to say:
The Kart 6:
SnoKart's best-selling gear-carrying beast has been updated to make it even better. It comprises three individual bags that can be combined in six different ways for maximum versatility. The total capacity is 178 litres, so there's plenty of room for your skis, boots and gear. It boasts loads of features like removable shoulder straps, telescopic trolley handle, multiple grab handles and all-terrain wheels.
Kabin Boot Bag:
This is a nifty bit of kit: a hand-luggage-friendly wheelie that doubles as a boot bag. You can either wheel it or wear it as a rucksack, fill it with a weekend's worth of clothes or stash your ski boots inside. It's fully padded and features a laptop pocket, telescopic handle, external tablet pocket and extra space for gloves, socks etc...
We're really pleased that you like our bags.
SnoKart Brand Featured in Boardsport Source Magazine September 08 2015
Boardsport Source Magazine have just published a great article about us in their mag.
See it below or in full on their page here.
SnoKart are a luggage company specific to the snowsports industry, started by founder Christian Williams in 2008 to solve his ski travel needs. Christian previously worked in the fashion industry, bringing with him 20 years or production, buying and management experience, meaning he understands what retailers want.
How did SnoKart begin? Tell us a bit more about the history of the company.
SnoKart was started in 2008 by me (Christian Williams). Whilst on a ski holiday in late 2007 I had great difficulty trying to fit my all in one long ski coffin bag into a small hire car. I finally managed this by taking the skis out of the bag and jamming them between the seats. I then folded the long bag in half and squashed it into the back of the hatchback. This got me thinking and led me to design ‘The Kart 6’ which has become our signature bag. At this time I also saw that snowsport luggage choices were very limited and that there was an opportunity to create and supply more innovative, practical bags for snow sports travellers. So I designed a range of bags, gave them the brand name ‘SnoKart’ and went to market at the London Ski Show at Olympia in late 2008. The bags were an immediate hit with the public, so we launched to the trade at SLIDE 2009. Here we won 2nd place for the most innovative new product.
Who is behind the company and what are their backgrounds?
I am the creator, founder and MD. I have over 20 years experience working in the fashion industry in a variety of senior positions for major high street stores and suppliers. I’ve been a general manager, head of buying and head of production. These roles have been a perfect training ground, given that they combined the design, buying, commercial and sales skills necessary to create and run a brand.
The business could not have progressed without the support of a strong manufacturing base, a solid UK sales force headed by Andy Nicholls and great distributors like Islasport (Benelux), Rojo Distribution (Australia & NZ) and Litada (Lithuania).
What makes SnoKart different from the competitors and why should retailers sell your products? We are a true one-stop-shop for retailers. We supply a comprehensive range of good quality bags for snowboards, skis, boots and accessories at fair prices and generous margin. Our range includes modular all-in-one bags, mid-sized versatile bags, through to boot bags, lightweight lining bags and helmet bags.
The modular function of some of our bags makes them extremely versatile and means that they can also be used for summer holidays, festivals and weekend breaks.
We are very much in touch with the market and are also good at looking ahead. We have our ears close to the ground to pick up on any news or developments in our sector or the general travel market (such as airline cabin bag allowances). We are quick to react to customer needs and requirements. We have some forward order and replenishment flexibility and operate a repair service.
We try and go the extra mile (or km) whenever we can.
Do you support/ collaborate with any athletes and how?
Yes. The athletes we support help give SnoKart its identity. We have worked with British Olympic athletes such as Zoe Gillings and Ellie Koyander and The British Telemark Team in the past. We are currently working with Jamie Barrow (British snowboard speed record holder), Ethan Smith (snowboard grom) and the Snow-Pepper Snowboard Team (based in Landgraaf). We are looking to recruit more athletes and are focusing on a snowboard/ski mixture of young future stars.
The guys we sponsor are great at telling us about their travels to and from the slopes to train, compete or just to have fun. They make videos, post on social media and feedback on the performance of their SnoKart bags, which allows us to make improvements and modifications to our designs.
Our motto is: ‘fast forward to the slopes’ and our athletes embrace that.
We also feel that it good to put something back into our sport by supporting the guys at the SnowCamp charity as best we can.
Is there any other marketing you are running?
We support various competitions on an ad-hoc basis by offering prizes. We also work with various quality specialist magazines.
What are your future plans for the company? Are you looking to expand your product range?
We are stocked by nearly all the major UK snowsport retailers and have great distributors in Benelux, Australia and New Zealand, Lithuania and Spain, with Germany just coming on stream now. We are aiming to increase our presence further in the UK and expand overseas by appointing additional distributors. Primary target markets are Scandinavia and North America.
Our product range is made up of proven best-sellers, but we will continue to make improvements to our specifications where we can. We also plan to increase our offer by introducing specific products for specific markets and territories.
What is important for a company like SnoKart to stay competitive?
To continue to supply good quality, value for money innovative product. To provide top-rate customer service, pre and after sales.

Jamie Barrow Sets New World Record! December 05 2013
Jamie chose to attempt it at SnowWorld as it is the world’s biggest indoor snowdome with a 520 meter long slope.
Jeroen Heutz, the Event Manager at SnowWorld, said “It’s great to have Jamie setting the record here, we’re very proud of him and we’ll see what the future brings.”
Afterwards Jamie said, “I’m really happy with the result and the opportunity to both train and set another record.”
“This has given me even more confidence to push my limits and hopefully set more speed records in the future.”
He added, “I hope this record will encourage others to attempt to beat it and go even faster. Without competition the sport wouldn’t be where it is at the moment.”

Steve and his Panda! November 14 2013
SnoKart snapper and all round Chamonix man, Steve recently returned to the UK from his home in Chamonix to collect his new (old) Panda. These are much loved in The Alps, but rarely seen here in Britain. We're not sure if it's the bamboo shortage or just a general lack of understanding how to care for these cherished mountain lovers.
Here is a close up pic of said Panda.....
Ellie Is All Set For A Full Winter Of Mogul Racing November 08 2013
(If you need any more info on The Olympics then have a look at the official website here).
Here's what she had to say about it:
'It’s been a hectic summer!
After working so hard on my physical strength and conditioning in the Spring, I spent pretty much all of August and September training 'down under' in Australia as well as the USA.
There were quite challenging conditions at times, but generally good winter snow., that allowed me to focus mainly on speed and air practice.
I then had a quick trip back to the UK before I was off again, this time to Zermatt Switzerland where I was training high up on the Glacier Paradise. At nearly 12,000 feet, it was great for altitude training too!
The full length course and conditions this year were just fantastic! Word spread around early that there was going to be an excellent training course set up and since there are now less than 100 days left until the Sochi Olympics, all of the world's World Cup teams and best of the rest were there; making for awesome training!
Each day felt like training before a World Cup event with the US, Canadians, French, German, Swiss, Swedish, Japanese, Russians,Norwegian, Finish, Czech and Korean teams all eyeballing each other!
I am so looking forward to the competition season ahead and now head out to the USA for some pre-season training.
I am excited to have met the Olympic qualification criteria for TeamGB already and the trick now is to make sure I remain in the top 30 in the World when the qualification window closes in January 2014!

Ski and Snowboard Boot Bags Added To Our Range October 24 2013
Skiers will buy ski boots and snowboarders will buy snowboard boots as soon as they have got over the early learning and hire boot experience. There is nothing nicer, more pleasant and comfy than owning your own ski boots or snowboard boots! Of course, once you have these, you'll need to get a ski boot bag or snowboard boot bag in which to put them.
At SnoKart, we have tried to offer ski boot bags and snowboard boot bags that are versatile, functional and practical. SnoKart being SnoKart, we have also tried to design bags that are multi-functional. Our brand new Kabin Boot Bag is therefore a wheelie ski boot bag (or wheelie snowboard boot bag) that also converts into a back pack! A true trolley / wheeled boot bag for snowsports!
Our best selling Urban Boot Bag is really a messenger bag that works for ski or snowboard boots! Use it as a boot bag when going skiing or snowboarding and then use it for work for the rest of the year.
Another best seller is our Boot & Helmet Pack which is one of very few boot bags that can also hold your helmet and gloves and other accessories.
Lastly but not least, our Boot Airliner is designed to be used with all ski boot bags and snowboard boot bags. These unique boot bags isolate your wet, grubby ski boots and snowboard boots from other luggage items. They also make it really easy to carry your boots around in resort or to and from your local ski, snowboard slope.
So, we hope that you like our range of ski boot bags and snowboard boot bags and find something that suits your needs.
